چکیده

Mathematical programming is one of the areas to which fuq set theoq has been applied extensively. Primarily based on Bellman and Zadeh’s model of decision in fuzzy environments, models have been suggested which allow flexibility in constraints and nonlinear programming. Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a method of evaluating relative efJiciencies for a group of similar units based on an eficiency concept. In DEA, the same set of factors is measured for each unit, and there are multiple and non-commensurate inputs and outputs. EfJiciency is measured as the weighted sum of output over the weighted sum of input. This is the DEA ratio model. The other models are radial models, additive models, multiplicative models, hyperbolic models, nonradial models. In this paper, assuming that the values of inputs and outputs in DEA are not known with certainty, a fuzzy mathematical programming is proposed.’ The objective function and the constraints are represented 6) using their degrees of membership in DEA. The main advantage of this solution that the decision maker is not forced into a precise formulation for mathematical reasons.

Classifying Flexible Factors Using Fuzzy Concept

In Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), it is assumed that the role of each factor is known asinput or output. However, in some cases, there are shared factors that their input versusoutput status is not clearly known. These are flexible measures. In such cases, determiningwhether a factor is input or output is ambiguous. Therefore, using fuzzy concept seems to benecessary. In this paper, a two phas...

Input congestion, technical ineciency and output reduction in fuzzy data envelopment analysis

During the last years, the concept of input congestion and technical ineff-ciency in data envelopment analysis (DEA), have been investigated by manyresearchers. The motivation of this paper is to present models which obtain thedecreased output value due to input congestion and technical ineciency. More-over, we extend the models to estimate input congestion, technical ineciencyand output reduct...

Supplier selection in the sustainable supply chain: The application of analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy data envelopment analysis

The development and management of an effective and efficient supply chain involve the selection of the suppliers. Only economic criteria, including cost and delivery, once used to be considered in the process of supplier selection. But, they do not suffice for the evaluation of suppliers anymore due to the rapidly changing environment, and different perspectives are needed to be considered. The...

Finding a Common Set of Weights by the Fuzzy Entropy Compared with Data Envelopment Analysis - A Case Study

A data envelopment analysis (DEA) method can be regarded as a useful management tool to evaluate decision making units (DMUs) using multiple inputs and outputs. In some cases, we face with imprecise inputs and outputs, such as fuzzy or interval data, so the efficiency of DMUs will not be exact. Most researchers have been interested in getting efficiency and ranking DMUs recently. Models of th...
